Editorial standards

Propcash guides are general information for homeowners. Each guide is drafted with help from AI tools, checked against primary sources, and reviewed by a person at Propcash before it goes live.

This page explains how we write, source, review, and update our guides.

Who is the Propcash Editorial Team?

The Propcash Editorial Team is the people at Propcash who write, check, and approve our seller guides. Propcash is a direct cash homebuyer. That means we may make an offer on a reader's house, so our guides compare a cash sale with other options, including options that do not involve us.

Where do our facts come from?

We start with primary sources and link each one inside the sentence it supports. In order of preference:

  • Laws and rules: state statutes, federal regulations, and court rules, read from the official text.
  • Government agencies: for example the CFPB, HUD, state housing agencies, and county treasurers and courts.
  • Market data: public sources such as Redfin, Realtor.com, and Zillow, always with the month and year of the figure.

We do not publish a figure, a deadline, or a legal rule without a source we have read. When a source cannot be confirmed, the claim comes out.

How is each guide reviewed?

Every new guide and every change goes through the same steps:

  1. A draft or an update is prepared, often with help from AI tools.
  2. Automated checks look for unsourced claims, wording that breaks our marketing and legal rules, and broken links or data.
  3. A person at Propcash reviews the change before it goes live.

Our guides speak to your situation, but they do not tell you what to do. Laws differ by state, so a local attorney, a HUD-approved housing counselor, or a tax professional can explain what applies to you.

How do we keep guides current?

We check our guides on a schedule. When a law, a deadline, or a market figure changes, we correct the guide and change its Updated date. The Updated date changes only when the content does.

How can you report an error?

If you find an error, email info@propcash.co with the page and the problem. We check the source and correct the guide if it is wrong.

What our guides are not

  • Our guides are not legal, tax, or financial advice.
  • We do not publish made-up reviews, testimonials, or statistics.
  • We do not claim a team size, a number of houses bought, or results we cannot show.
